A broken bracket or wire not only negatively affects your treatment, but it can also be harmful to your mouth. If you have a broken wire or a bracket that is causing damage to your lip or cheek, be sure to use some wax until you can come to our office.

Call Us If You Lose Your Hardware

If you are a patient who is currently wearing clear aligners or using a retainer, and your hardware becomes lost, contact us as soon as possible. Teeth can quickly shift, and we would hate for your teeth to move out of their current placement while you wait for your next appointment. If you lose your clear aligners, it is important to contact us so we can direct you to your next step. Just as a friendly reminder, always store your trays or retainers in a safe place while eating and cleaning your teeth. Never wrap anything in a tissue or napkin.
