Adult Braces
While childhood is the most popular time to get braces, that doesn’t mean that adult teeth and bite concerns cannot be corrected. There is no age limit to the results that can be achieved with orthodontic treatment. There are many reasons why you may be considering braces. Perhaps you have teeth that are very crowded or, on the other hand, too spaced apart. Maybe you are suffering from constant discomfort due to a misaligned bite or crooked teeth. The reason may just be that you are self-conscious of your smile and it has been a lifetime dream to be able to smile with confidence. Whatever the reason, we have a solution for you.
Braces have come a long way since the time of your youth. There are different options available that are not only more comfortable, but can be as discreet as you need them to be, depending on your lifestyle.
Clear Aligners – These are clear, removable trays that are customized to your teeth and replaced every few weeks when the teeth have moved into place. They are highly favored due to the ability to remove them to eat and clean your teeth. They are also virtually unnoticeable during wear, making them more popular with certain patients.
To encourage even the busiest of patients to achieve straight teeth, we are now offering same-day aligners created on our new 3D printer. Gone are the days of waiting weeks to start treatment with your clear aligners. We are also offering virtual options for even more ease and convenience.
Metal Braces – Metal brackets are bonded on the outer, front surfaces of the teeth with wire connecting them together. The wires are adjusted every 4-6 weeks, slowly moving your teeth into a new position. Treatment time can vary for each patient, lasting anywhere from 12 months to 3 years.
Ceramic Braces – Similar to metal braces, minus the metal, ceramic braces are tooth-colored or clear plastic.
