Digital Technology Makes Orthodontic Treatment Easier
At The Best Braces, we are always looking for ways to improve the treatments we provide to our patients. One aspect of orthodontic care that is always progressing and changing is technology. Thanks to digital technology, the treatments we offer our patients have revolutionized orthodontic care. We are able to offer patients more treatments than ever before, and we have been able to reduce the length of treatment times for many patients.
Cutting-Edge Software
Years ago, traditional metal braces were the only treatment option, and impressions of your teeth were taken with a goopy mold. Today, we are able to look at your entire mouth, jaw, and placement of teeth with the use of digital imaging. A scanner takes images of the teeth, jaw, and mouth, which are immediately available through our digital software and can be used to create a treatment plan. One of the biggest perks of this is that patients can be shown a digital step-by-step rendering of their teeth from the start to the completion of treatment. It is a great visual to show patients exactly how we plan to fix their teeth.
3D Printing
Clear aligners have become extremely popular in recent years. Many of our adult patients prefer this method of treatment. We know that a lot of our patients are short on time, so we are proud to print the clear aligner trays in our office. Patients love that they can come to learn more about clear aligners and leave with the trays ready to start treatment.
Digital X-Rays
One of the concerns when discussing x-rays, is the radiation that is emitted during the process. With digital X-rays, the radiation levels are greatly decreased, making it an extremely safe process for patients of all ages.
