At The Best Braces, we are here to take care of all your orthodontic needs. We know that it can be a little overwhelming when your dentist refers you or your child to our office for an evaluation. Orthodontic treatment doesn’t just can make a huge impact on you or your loved one’s self-esteem by giving you beautiful straight teeth to show off. In many cases, you are creating a healthier environment for your teeth to prevent potentially expensive decay issues. We have answered three of the most popular questions that we get when it comes to orthodontic care.
What is the Best Age For Orthodontic Care and Treatment?
While some might believe that children or teenagers are the only ones who can benefit from orthodontic care, that couldn’t be further from the truth. There is no age limit to achieving the straight teeth you desire. We do suggest that children around the age of seven be evaluated by our office to determine if care will be required and when we can begin treatment. We will evaluate for alignment problems early and possibly suggest a two-phase treatment plan.
Are Metal Braces My Only Option?
We understand that our patients are from every walk of life and every age. A single form of treatment is not beneficial to every patient and their lifestyle. While we do offer traditional metal braces, an extremely popular treatment, we are also proud to offer other treatment methods such as ceramic braces, clear braces, and clear aligners.
How Long Does Orthodontic Treatment Last?
That answer depends on the patient. Some orthodontic issues that are minor can be fixed in a few short months, while other treatments can last for a few years. Our young patients who are going to need a two-phase treatment plan will typically be in treatment for a few years. After an evaluation and a treatment plan is established, we will have a better idea of the length of treatment needed.
