Speeding Up Orthodontics

Speeding Up Orthodontics - Blog - The Best Braces - Best-Braces-Blog-04-2019

Unfortunately, we aren’t all blessed with a perfect smile. However, advances in technology and methodology in orthodontics have allowed more of us to have that smile we dream about. If you’ve thought about having your teeth straightened but were hesitant due to the time it may take, don’t worry; we at The Best Braces have listened.

Why Can’t It Be Instantaneous?

Besides most likely being incredibly painful (your teeth are rooted to the bone in your jaws after all), the nerves and blood supply necessary for the health of the tooth must regenerate to move along with the tooth. This takes time. However, there are minimally invasive ways to speed the process.

  • Leverage NASA Technology — NASA created a type of wire known for its shape memory and superelasticity to be used in satellites. In orthodontics, this wire is heated and shaped to your mouth. Then it is cooled and fit to braces. As you wear the braces, your body heat warms the wires back up and they return to their original arch form, moving your teeth with them. This means there is less need for appointments and fewer adjustments to be made. NASA tech has also led to better-looking braces as well, since a company working with NASA developed the material critical to creating “invisible” braces.
  • Utilize Aligners — For those who don’t have serious dental issues, these removable trays may be the solution. We use ClearCorrect, which are comfortable, easy, and convenient to use. They are nearly invisible, and in many cases produce results faster than traditional braces. These benefits make it more likely that patients will follow our instructions as well, which also means better and faster results.
  • The Best Braces Two Phase Treatment — Our Two Phase Treatment cuts down on the time needed for straightening teeth. Because factors that may affect the treatment for your child are taken care of during Phase One, when the teeth are aligned with braces and retainers in Phase Two, the average time the process takes is much less than it would be otherwise.

Get Results Faster

Our goal is to provide you the smile you’ve always wanted as quickly as possible in a comfortable and caring environment. If you are anywhere in the Metro Detroit area, call to schedule an appointment with us here at The Best Braces and get started toward achieving results today.
